FAQ – Where are you based?

Over a normal week we talk to  a lot of customers, one thing we noticed was that we had similar questions coming up. So we thought to make it easier for you to find the information your looking for we would put together a series of the frequently asked questions (FAQs) on our blog. This week its where are we based. Malthouse Engineering is the largest steel profilier in the UK. Over the years we have expanded from our base in Oldbury to 4 other locations. FAQ – What Lumsden grinding facilities do you have?

Within Malthouse Engineering we have one of the largest rotary Lumsden Grinders in the UK capable of Grinding up to 126″ Diameter. In total we have 12 rotary Lumsden Grinders across the group with a further 3 Reciprocating Lumsden Grinders capable of working on material up to and including 192″ (4877mm) x 26.25″ (667mm) with overhang.   We can get our tolorences down to an accuracy of +/- 1mm to 3mm depending on thickness. With unspecified dimensions we can grind to +/- 0.25mm (10 thou) and with specified dimensions we can grind to +/- 0.12mm (5 thou)
